It's Monday...What Are You Reading? (12.12.11)

It’s Monday What Are you Reading , hosted by Sheila, is the perfect way for me to begin my week and allows me to focus on what needs to be read and to see what I have or have not accomplished the previous week. I also enjoy discovering new books by visiting other participants blogs.

The last two weeks have gone by in a blur and I'm sorry to say that I haven't accomplished much reading-wise or review-wise. Part of it was due to my work schedule being completely hectic, but the other part is that I am just about 3 months pregnant and have been so tired that I often fall asleep when I sit to read. Hopefully my energy level will be back to normal soon. At least work will be quiet until after the new year.

Books Completed in the last 2 weeks:

  • Inseparable by Dora Heldt (review book)
  • Knit the Season by Kate Jacobs (library audio book)
Reading Now:
  • Secrets of the Tudor Court: By Royal Decree by Kate Emerson (mine)
  • Still Alice by Lisa Genova (library audio book)
Next:
  • Shanghai Girls by Lisa See (mine)
  • The Kitchen Daughter by Jael McHenry (review book)
Reviews completed in the  past two weeks

  1. I loved reading books to my little ones. Have you heard about Angels in the water? I just thought you might like to read it while you are pregnant. Congratulations on your little one and happy Christmas!

  2. Great list Kristin! I read Shanghai Girls at the end of last year and loved it. I also just picked up Still Alice as an early birthday present to myself. I read Left Neglected earlier in the year and have heard that Still Alice is even better so I'm super excited!

@ Deb: Thanks...I find that doing this each week really helps keep me on track, especially with getting my reviews done!

@ Bonnie: I loved Left Neglected which is why I picked up Still Alice. I'm looking forward to reading Shanghai Girls - I really like Lisa See's writing style.
