My thoughts: OMG...this book! I devoured it and have not stopped thinking about it since I finished reading it a week ago...it's one of those books that just doesn't let go. This psychological thriller is definitely going to the top of my all-time favorite books and will certainly be one of my top reads of this year, but it does beg the question - is this the type of book that you only read once because you do not want to have anything spoiled or do you read over and over again in the hopes of picking up clues along the way that perhaps you might have missed the first time around?
It's really hard to write a review of this book without giving away any spoilers - but suffice to say, this book will take you on the craziest ride you can possibly imagine. It will tear your heart out, make you so angry, and then surprise the hell out of you time and time again. It's filled with amazing characters, characters that are flawed, complicated, and twisted. You won't know who you can trust and who you can believe, and I loved every bit of it.
It's really hard to believe this is a debut novel and yet it is...this is Clare Mackintosh's debut novel and she has hit it out of the park! I am absolutely a fan and am already counting down the days til I can get my hands on her next novel because if it's anything like this one, I know it will be another great book!
