Bookish News:

  • The BookSparks #BestSummerEver SummerReadingChallenge  has begun! Five books were chosen for June and while I only read one of them so far, I did spotlights on the others:
  • I finally got around to reading one of the May BookSparks #BestSumerEver SummerReadingChallenge book - and just posted my review...it only published on June 28, so I held off posting my review until release day:
  • I ended up reading and reviewing all 3 of the SheReads 'Books of Spring' selections and enjoyed them all! Here are my reviews and you can click here to find more reviews from other SheReads members:
  • I went to one book signing this month...I went to see Beatriz Williams on tour for her latest book, A CERTAIN AGE...oh how I love getting to see her! I think in the last year, I have seen her 5 times and never tire of listening to her talk about her books...what passion she has for her writing and characters and stories! This wasn't a book talk as much as it was a gathering the night before the release of the book at an Indie Bookstore (one of the cutest ones I've been in, by the way! - I just love Diane's Books in Greenwich, CT!!!) Such a fun night :)

  1. Great month Kristin. I am so envious of your Beatriz Williams meet up! Sounds awesome. I am loving The Forgotten Room - so clever, can't pick who wrote what, although going by time periods they write in I have made my guesses. I don't really know their writing styles enough. And haven't read Willig yet although have one of hers on my Kindle. So my pick is Willig, Williams, White - oh just seen their surnames all start with W!!
    Have a great July.

    Enjoy July!
