#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in November 4, I think I might actually be on the mend...finally! I have not been sick this long in forever and every time I think I am getting better, the cough/cold seems to come back. Luckily I'm not working right now (quit my job after realizing the stress/aggravation just wasn't worth it!) so I've been able to stay home and rest/take it easy, but I really want to get back to my training for the big walk in March. I'm going to give it another week of easy walks and then if I continue to feel good, then it's full steam ahead!

My October/November Goals:

  • 10K steps M-F, at least 7,500 steps on the weekend - 4/5
  • 30 minutes of active walking every day, M-F - Met
  • Eat mindfully/eat enough (esp. in important while training!) - Met
My training plan for the Challenge Walk MS I'll be doing in March of 2017:

* Put on hold until I get better!

  • Tuesday & Thursday: 4 miles
  • Saturday & Sunday: Distance walks (distances will vary)
  • Try to attend one yoga class a week
Here's how my last 2 weeks went :

Oct 29:  5,109 steps
Oct 30:  4,520 steps
Oct 31:  12,596 steps
Nov 25:  12,684 steps

Nov 26:  14,166 steps

Nov 27:  9
,075 steps
Nov 28:
13,144 steps

Total Steps: 71,294 steps

Audiobooks listened to this week (since I'm not much of a music fan, I listen to books while I walk):
  • Started & finished Night Watch by Iris Johansen, narrated by Elisabeth Rodgers

How did your week go? You can find this week's link-up here.

***In March of 2017, I'll be doing the CHALLENGE WALK MS in Savannah, GA. It is a three-day, 50-mile walk that tests your strength and your spirit, and makes an extraordinary difference in the lives of people with MS and their families.

  1. It's great that you are feeling better! It's great that you are planning a 50 mile walk in March. Good luck with your preperations.

    1. Thanks Pat! I'm excited about the walk - I've done it once before and it's a challenging walk, but a lot of fun!

  2. Sorry to see you've been sick, but like the quit your job bit! The MS walk sounds very laudable and very challenging. Hope training will go well for it.
I lost my FitBit must have fallen out of my pocket while shopping. I didn't realise until it was too late. I resisted buying another but yesterday I did, to make me get out there again as got a bit lazy!

  3. Glad you are finally feeling better! I know you want to get your training on, but it's good that you are taking care of yourself first! You got this!
