Book Feature: Amazon Original Stories: Forward

Amazon Original Stories, an imprint of Amazon Publishing, is pleased to present FORWARD, six stories exploring the nature of discovery. The authors imagine the future incarnations of everything from casino heists to fertility clinics to global politics, placing characters in the midst of world-altering technological changes and exploring the consequences.

These stories are not available in print - only in digital or audio format. They are available on Amazon and if you are a Prime member - they are free!

ARK, by Veronica Roth and narrated by Evan Rachel Wood, spins a story of finding connection in the face of our world's certain destruction.

SUMMER FROST, by Blake Crouch and narrated by Rosa Salazar, follows a video game designer whose character Maxine unexpectedly "wakes up."

EMERGENCY SKIN, by N.K. Jemisin and narrated by Jason Isaacs, subverts all expectations when an explorer returns to the ravaged Earth his ancestors fled.

YOU HAVE ARRIVED AT YOUR DESTINATION, by Amor Towles and narrated by David Harbour, explores a fertility clinic's god-like abilities to alter an unborn child's life path.

THE LAST CONVERSATION, by Paul Tremblay and narrated by Steven Strait, immerses readers in a patient's mysteriously slow healing process.

RANDOMIZE, by Andy Weir and narrated by Janina Gavankar, imagines a high-tech Las Vegas casino heist.

While I don't typically read a lot of science fiction, I have to say I am very curious about these and think I will be giving them a shot - and the good thing is they are relatively short! I will probably be doing the audio version as I am a big audio fan.

What do you think? Will you be reading or listening to these? Or have you done so already? Most of these authors are brand-new to me, except for Blake Crouch - I recently read Recursion and surprisingly I enjoyed it.
