Musing Mondays 4-26-10

Musing Mondays2Today’s MUSING MONDAYS post is about the war books
With yesterday being Anzac Day, I thought I’d ask a theme question this week. Are you a reader of war books? And if so, do you have any favourites?
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Musing Mondays post, or share your opinion in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks.

**MUSING MONDAYS is hosted by Rebecca at Just One More Page...

I wouldn't say I read "war" books, but I will read books set during a war. Some of the books I have read that fall into this category are:
  • The Diary of Anne Frank
  • The Guerney Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows
  • The Postmistress by Sarah Blake
I also have the following book in my TBR pile that fall into this category:
  • Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay
I find that reading books set during wartime gives me a different perspective into life during wartime.

What about you?

  1. My book club read Sarah's Key and thought it was very educational. Definitely an aspect of WWII we had never heard of -- enjoy!

  2. ok, I did like Guernsey..and Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet too..but I do not really consider myself a "fan" of war books or war settings.

Thank you so much for leaving a comment! I love interacting with other book lovers and appreciate any thoughts or feedback! If you read a book after seeing my review, please let me know. Come back and leave me a link to your review so I can read it. Thank you!!!
