It's Monday - What Are You Reading? (6.5.11)

It’s Monday What Are you Reading , hosted by Sheila, is the perfect way for me to begin my week and allows me to focus on what needs to be read and to see what I have or have not accomplished the previous week. I also enjoy discovering new books by visiting other participants blogs.

My computer crashed two weeks ago, so I was unable to participate in this meme last week. This week's post is a combination of the past two weeks.

What about you?  What does your reading week look like this week?  Whatever it is, happy reading and have a good week!

  1. I have been wanting to read Shelter Mountain for a while - how was it? I have also heard great things about Cleopatra! Have an excellent week Kristin!

  2. @Bonnie I really enjoyed Shelter's Preacher's story and of course Jack and Mel's story continues from the first one. I started reading Cleopatra back in January for my book club meeting that month, never finished the book and never made it to that meeting - I really just need to finish it! I liked what I had read so far.

  3. Curious about the Chasing The Night audio... I am in need of more titles :)

  4. I am reading The Tudor Secret by Christopher Gortner and I am honoured to feature an article by Christopher Gortner on my blog this coming Friday.

    Have a good reading week

  5. @ Sheila: Chasing the Night is awesome so far. It's the latest in the Eve Duncan series and the narrator is fantastic!

@ Dizzy C: I read The Tudor Secret and really enjoyed it - looking forward to seeing what you thought of it.

  6. I look forward to your upcoming reviews. I have Alone also, need to get to that.

    My Post

  7. @Marce I had never read Lisa Gardner before but last year and then again this year I was asked to participate in her blog tours, so I decided I would now go back and read the beginning of the series.

  8. I'm interested as to how you find Cleopatra - I couldn't get into it.
Can't wait to see the contest :)

  9. @Tethered Mommy I started it back in January - it was our book club pick for that month. I realized I wasn't going to be able to go to the meeting, so I put it aside. I liked what I had read so far, now I just need to finish it. It is a slow book, but I found it to be very interesting.

  10. Looks like you have had and still have a lot going on! Have a great week!

  11. Summer school begins for me so my reading for fun will take second place to reading for homework. So my reading for fun will have to take second place to reading for school. Come see what I finished in my last week of vacation.

  12. I'm looking forward to your review of the Amy Tan: I'll be teaching a World Lit. class to 10th graders next year so I'm looking for a variety of strong contemporary books, both adult and YA.
And I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog too: Following now, and hope you might consider doing the same, Kristin.

Thank you so much for leaving a comment! I love interacting with other book lovers and appreciate any thoughts or feedback! If you read a book after seeing my review, please let me know. Come back and leave me a link to your review so I can read it. Thank you!!!
