It's Monday...What Are You Reading? (6.18.12)

It’s Monday What Are you Reading , hosted by Sheila, is the perfect way for me to begin my week and allows me to focus on what needs to be read and to see what I have or have not accomplished the previous week. I also enjoy discovering new books by visiting other participants blogs.

This is the last week of the Spring Reading Thing reading challenge hosted by Catrina over at Callapidder Days and I've been going crazy trying to finish up the books from my original list. Look for my wrap-up post later this week to see if I'm successful. I have three books to finish and I'm going to give it my all to get them all done! Did you participate in this?

What about you?  What does your reading week look like this week?  Whatever it is, happy reading and have a good week!

  1. You're in for a treat with The Last Queen, hope you love it as much as I did! What do you think of Still Missing?
Have a great week and happy reading :)

    1. So far I am really enjoying The Last Queen. I've read a few books by CW Gortner and have his newest book, The Queen's Vow, which looks really good, too.

Still Missing is good - I haven't listened to it lately, but am hoping to get back to it this week.

  2. I want to read The Last Queen. I love historical fiction. I liked The Masque of the Black Tulip and Wallflower in Bloom. I still need to read Summer Nights which I also have for review.

Good luck with your reading challenge!

    1. I love historical fiction, too, and usually just read books related to Tudor England, but I was a bit fascinated with the women of Castille as well!

Summer Nights will be my first Fool's Gold book - I've been wanting to read the series, but haven't gotten to it. Hopefully after reading Summer Nights, I will get to the previous books!

  3. It is inspiring to see how organized you are. I'm just coming in from nine days out west and I've got a huge pile of books to review, so that's my goal for this week.

    Here's my
It's Monday! What Are You Reading?
I hope you will come by and say hello.

    1. I haven't been away and yet, still have a huge pile of books to review. I can't ever seem to get ahead with them! Oh well. I've decided I'm not going to stress over it anymore. They will get done when they get done!

  4. I have 3 books left to finish for the Spring reading challenge too and hopefully I'll be able to knock them out this week.

    1. Good luck to you on that...I'm in the middle of two of my three books. At least those two will get done - I'm not so sure about the third one, but I'm going to try my best!

  5. Still Missing was a book I couldn't put down! Hope you're loving it.

I'll be reading Wallflower in Bloom's on Sparky.

    1. It's very good so far. And I can't wait to read Wallflower in Bloom - I love her books and look forward to the new one coming out each year!

  6. Hi Kristin! Great reading list. I just sent you an email but was unsure if you would recognize the address. You were the winner of They Came Like Swallows by William Maxwell from The Key to the Gate a while back but I was unable to contact you through the Google Friend Connect. If you are still interested, email me your mailing address to and I will get it out in the mail.
Glad to meet up with you through this meme!

  7. Can't wait to see what you thought of the new Linda Lael Miller. I haven't had a chance to read it but it looks fabulous :)

Have a great reading week! What are YOU reading @ The Brunette Librarian??

    1. It was a fun story - my review will be up on Thursday as part of the blog tour.

  8. What a great week you've got lined up! I've had The Last Queen on my TBR list for awhile :)

  9. I am not going to get all my books read for SRT. I, as usual, got distracted by other books!

    1. I did, too, which is why I am struggling to finish my original list!

  10. Some great books on your list - cozies and Susan Mallery too! My favorites :) Enjoy!

    1. I really enjoy Susan Mallery's books - they are always fun! The cozies are great, too - not too graphic when it comes to the murders and I love the insights into all the different crafts/themes of the cozy.

Thank you so much for leaving a comment! I love interacting with other book lovers and appreciate any thoughts or feedback! If you read a book after seeing my review, please let me know. Come back and leave me a link to your review so I can read it. Thank you!!!
