Book Blog Walkers: Weekly Check-in May 16, 2014

Well, I'm back in the training game for my next 1/2 marathon, The MoonWalk New York City, which is a charity walk for Breast Cancer. The walk is done at night and we will be walking in our bras! I'm looking forward to it and will be walking with my mom and sister. Now we just need to decide how we are going to decorate those bras...and I need to start fundraising!

This week went pretty well, but boy was I a bit sore after my first power walk...Yes, I've been walking a lot lately, but not with any speed. Good thing I started my training now...10 weeks and counting!!!

Here's how my week went:  

May 10:  rest
May 11:  30 minutes
May 12:  3 mile power walk (42 minutes!!!)
May 13:  30 minutes easy walking + 1 hour yoga

May 14:  3 mile power walk (42 minutes)
May 15:  rest

May 16:  30 minutes easy walking

How did your week go?


  1. Oh my gosh...a 1/2 marathon? That is awesome. I did a powerwalk last night and my muscles were screeching at me this morning when I got out of bed. Good luck with the decorating, and the fundraising. Have a great weekend!

  4. You have a very profitable week exercise wise. At least if the night is warm, you guys will stay cool. Should be fun and hope you do well with your fundraising. I am past power walking now, but today as I was out it was sunny and I just breathed in the sunshine and all the wonderful shades of green that I could see.
