Bloggiesta Wrap Up

I'm so bummed that Bloggiesta has come to an end. I got so much done!!!

First I want to say a big THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Suey at It's All About Books and Danielle at There's a Book for hosting this. I first participated in a Bloggiesta about six months after starting my blog and found it to be so helpful! I did one more after that and then didn't see anything about it again. I am so glad I saw that Suey and Danielle have taken over hosting duties.

I ended up accomplishing much more that I thought I would. Here's what I did:

• Write up a few reviews that I need to post/set up posts for upcoming reviews COMPLETED
• Wrote a total of 6 reviews, 2 of which have already been posted and the rest will be posted in the next few days
  
• Set up posts for next 3 reviews - now I just need to write my thoughts on each
  
• Evaluate current review format - look into possible new format STARTED
• Added Discover the Author links and Purchase the Book links to bottom of reviews
• Still trying to decide what else, if anything, I want to change
  
• Clean up tags, category lists COMPLETED
  
• Update reading log and link reviews to log COMPLETED
• Update my challenge lists and link reviews COMPLETED
• Add an About Me page that includes review policy STARTED
  
• Created separate Review Policy page and posted it
• Am still playing around with an About Me page 
• Clean up my Google Reader subscriptions  COMPLETED
• Update Goodreads tbr read list  COMPLETED
  
• Update blog roll COMPLETED
  
• Prepare posts for upcoming Book Blogger Confessions questions COMPLETED
• Set up and answered question for 4.2.12 post
• Set up post for 4.16.12, have outline for answer, need to still tweak
  
• Prepare questions for upcoming Q&A's with authors; send out COMPLETED
  
• Decide whether to do review archive by author and/or title  COMPLETED
• This took me the majority of the day today to do, but I am quite happy with the result - it is posted.
  
• Analyze and re-evaluate my blog - This is an on-going task
• Participate in at least 2 mini-challenges 
• COMPLETED Challenges
• Pinterest to Promote Your Blog hosted by Joy at Joy's Book Blog
• Social Media Icon Tutorial  hosted by Lisa at Adventures of 2.0.
• How to Build Readers for Your Blog Through Commenting hosted by Sheila at Book Journey 
• A Comment Challenge hosted by Danielle at  There's a Book
  

Things done that were not on my original list:

• Prepare Month in Review: March post and post
• Prepare IMM post and post
• Prepare It's Monday post
  
• Changed wording in commenting section
• Figured out how to adjust the width of my columns (special thanks for Jessica at The Midnight Bookworm for the tips on this!)
  

Time spent today: 12.5 hrs.

Current running time: 30.5 hrs. (that's 10.5 more hours than I hoped for - YAY me!!!)
 

All in all it was one productive weekend and I already have another list of things to do for the next Bloggiesta, which will be September 28-30. Now I am excited to visit everyone and see how much they got done and see if I should be adding more to the new list!!!
